With timeCard AU as a supplement to your timeCard time recording system, you can automatically retrieve electronic certificates of incapacity for work (eAU) for your employees with statutory health insurance from the relevant health insurance companies.

You receive prompt feedback on the reported incapacity for work in the system you use every day without having to go through your tax consultant.

You can also manually manage and store the incapacity for work of your privately insured employees. You can customise the automatic queries with individual settings, e.g. when a sick note must be submitted.

From 01.01.2023, the

• The certificate of incapacity for work can be retrieved digitally by employers from the central server of the statutory health insurance scheme
• From then on, the sick note in paper form (the "yellow slip") will only be available as personal proof for the insured person
• A phone call, e-mail etc. from the sick person to their employer is sufficient notification of illness

• The eAU procedure only applies to employees with statutory health insurance

• Not every "incapacity for work" is reported via an eAU! The exceptions include

• The eAU goes from the doctor providing the service to the health insurance fund
• The eAU may not be immediately available for retrieval on the server

• After an eAU retrieval, it may take several days until the eAU is available on the system side (server)
• An unsuccessful eAU retrieval can be repeated for the same person after two weeks at the earliest

If a member of staff falls ill, your company must always react flexibly and fill the gap in the best possible way. It is therefore particularly important that the absent employee recovers as quickly as possible.

The yellow slip of paper has finally had its day!

From 1 July 2023, the health insurance funds will automatically receive the AU from contract doctors and hospitals and employers will be able to access them.

This requires access to the eAU data exchange via an interface. timeCard time recording from REINER SCT provides this interface and ensures a smooth process.
